Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions. Learn more about our handcrafted jewelry, ordering process, shipping options, and care instructions. Discover how we create high-quality and sustainable jewelry in our Berlin studio.

Where are your pieces made?

All of our jewelry is handcrafted in our Berlin studio. Each piece is made from start to finish by our small team of goldsmiths using traditional techniques and carefully selected materials. We design, cast, shape, and finish everything in-house to maintain the highest standard of craftsmanship.

What materials do you use?

We work exclusively with solid gold, sterling silver, and ethically sourced gemstones. Our pieces can be crafted in 375 (9K), 585 (14K), or 750 (18K) gold, allowing you to choose the alloy and purity that best suits your preference and style. All precious metals are responsibly sourced and hallmarked according to European standards.

What is the difference between 375, 585, and 750 gold?

These numbers represent the purity of gold in the alloy.

  • 375 gold (also called 9 karat) contains 37.5% pure gold mixed with other metals, creating a slightly paler tone and high durability.
  • 585 gold (14 karat) includes 58.5% pure gold, offering a warm balance between color, strength, and value — our most popular choice.
  • 750 gold (18 karat) holds 75% pure gold and has a rich, deep tone with a softer, more luxurious feel.

All three alloys are crafted and hallmarked to the same standard of quality, allowing you to choose the gold composition that best suits your aesthetic and lifestyle.

Do you make custom jewelry?

Yes. Many of our engagement rings and wedding bands begin as custom designs. You can choose the gold alloy, gemstones, dimensions, or finishes to create a piece that’s uniquely yours. We work closely with clients to bring their vision to life, combining design expertise with handcrafted precision. If you are interested in a custom made piece you can contact us here to make on appointment.

Where do your gemstones come from?

We source our gemstones from trusted partners who prioritize ethical mining and transparency. Our diamonds are conflict-free and often lab-grown, while sapphires and other colored stones are selected for their natural character and quality. Every gem is individually set or cast by hand in our studio.

Can I choose the gold alloy for my ring?

Yes, every ring can be crafted in 375 (9K), 585 (14K), or 750 (18K) gold. Each alloy has a distinct tone and feel, so you can select the composition that matches your aesthetic and lifestyle.

How long does it take to make a piece?

Because every piece is handcrafted to order, production typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on the design and material. We will confirm the estimated delivery time once your order is placed. And if you need your piece sooner please let us know upon checkout so we can see what is possible.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide from our Berlin studio. All orders are securely packaged and fully insured during transit. International shipping times vary by destination and will be confirmed at checkout.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Handle your pieces gently and store them separately in the provided jewelry pouch to prevent scratches. To clean, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, especially on textured surfaces or oxidised silver. We offer professional polishing and maintenance upon request.

Do you offer repairs or resizing?

Yes. Most rings can be resized or repaired depending on the design. Because each piece is handmade, we handle adjustments carefully to maintain texture and form. Please contact us for repair inquiries or sizing guidance.

Are your pieces hallmarked?

Yes, every gold and silver piece is hallmarked according to European standards, certifying the metal purity and our maker’s signature.

Can I visit your studio?

Our Berlin studio is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00. You are always welcome to stop by, but as we are a working studio, it’s best to make an appointment to be sure we’re available. We’re happy to arrange personal visits to discuss custom projects, view sample pieces, or explore materials. To schedule an appointment or get in touch, please contact us.

Do you use sustainable practices?

Yes. We create in small batches, use recycled metals where possible, and design pieces meant to last a lifetime. Our goal is to produce jewelry responsibly with respect for materials, process, and people.

Can you re-use gold from my old jewelry?

Yes. We can re-use gold from your existing pieces to create a new design. Many of our clients bring in heirloom jewelry or old gold that carries personal meaning, and we melt and rework it into something new while preserving its story.

Depending on the alloy and condition, we may refine the metal or mix it with new gold to ensure structural integrity and consistent color. This approach allows you to keep the emotional and material value of your piece while contributing to a more sustainable form of jewelry making.

If you’d like to discuss reusing your gold, please contact us to arrange a consultation.
